Here is the EuroAirport summary of the traffic situation the day of the EURO 2008 match between Holland and Russia in Basel.


Facts & figures for today, Saturday, 21 June 2008

- EuroAirport expects to handle 177 flights (88 landings, 89 starts) as normal commercial traffic (scheduled and charter flights).
- There will be 32 additional EURO 08 charter flights: 15 landings and 17 starts of which 4 flights are scheduled to take off between midnight and 2 am in accordance with the derogation accorded by the French authorities (see press release of 16 May 2008).
- 95 additional taxi flights (50 landings and 45 starts) are expected.
- Altogether, EuroAirport will be greeting around 18 000 passengers throughout the day.
- Traffic peak: 8.00 am – 12.00 am.
- At the time of publication, traffic operations are running smoothly.


Forecast for tomorrow Sunday, 22 June 2008

- The day after the EURO 08 match between Holland and Russia in Basel, EuroAirport expects to handle 147 flights (74 landings, 73 starts) as normal commercial traffic (scheduled and charter flights).
- There will be 12 additional EURO 08 charter flights (7 landings and 5 starts).
- 56 additional taxi flights (26 landings and 30 starts) are expected.
- Altogether, EuroAirport will be greeting around 14 000 passengers throughout the day.

 

Since the beginning of 2008 and on average, EuroAirport has been welcoming around 10 600 passengers and handling 165 flights per day.
