Pegasus Airlines to operate new Istanbul service from EuroAirport

From 26 October 2009, Pegasus Airlines will be launching a new service from EuroAirport to Istanbul-Sabiha Gökçen with a continuous flight number to Adana. Pegasus Airlines operates a hub in Istanbul-Sabiha Gökçen and offers a large number of interesting Turkish destinations from it including Bodrum, Dalaman und Kayseri. In opening the new route, Pegasus Airlines expands its range of flights between Turkey and EuroAirport, providing extra routes for families, tourists and business travellers.

From 26 October 2009, Pegasus Airlines will be using a Boeing B737-800 (with 189 seats) with a continuous flight number to Adana five times a week to connect the three country region with Istanbul.
This service significantly increases the number of flights between EuroAirport and Turkey and permits  a first-time connection with Adana in eastern Turkey. Since June 2009, Pegasus Airlines has also been flying to Izmir from EuroAirport.

Founded in 1990, Pegasus Airlines today is Turkey's largest private airline. Pegasus Airlines has been operating as a low-cost airline since 2005 and has its headquarters in Istanbul. Pegasus Airlines operates a hub at its home airport of Istanbul-Sabiha Gökçen, serving a large number of other destinations in Turkey. The Pegasus Airlines fleet consists of a total of 24 aircraft, including 14 Boeing 737/800, 2 Boeing 737/400, 3 Boeing 737/500 and 5 Airbus A320/A319s belonging to its subsidiary, İzair. Orders have been placed for additional Boeing 737-800 planes.
